I live in the area (about 4 miles from the start of this ride), and it takes me just under 45 minutes to start at the bottom and arrive at the parkway. Although uphill most of the way, it only has about the last 3 miles of really difficult 12 to 16 degree ascent.

Of course, I rarely stop to see the waterfalls or other sites, having seen them before. Great ride, little traffic, except during the summer months.
